EXCURSION / TOUR – FRIDAY 1st FEBRUARY 2008

The Association is aware that most, if not all excursions organised locally, are for visits into Spain and few or none to sites of historical interest within our city.
Some time back we organised an excursion to The Shrine to our Lady of Europe at Europa Point followed by lunch at Top of the Rock Cable Car Restaurant. This proved most successful and enjoyed by all who attended.
We are now organising another excursion to historical sites as follows:
Meet at 1100 hours on 1st February at “La Barcina Restaurant” Casemates Square for a pre excursion drink ( tea, coffee, soft drink, water or beer) and introductory talk by colleague and guide John Murphy.
Depart at 1200 hours for Landport Ditch, 1230 to 1240 leisurely walk into dry mote,
on to Market Square commonly known as Plaza del Reloj, across to Fishmarket Road pointing out items of interest, onto Irish Town and patios of interest and at approximately 1330 to 1345 hours make way to Pizzaghetti Factory Restaurant, Irish Town for lunch with menu as follows:
1. Choice of two soups
or
Italian Salad
2. Any Pizza on menu
or
Any Pasta dish on menu
or
Pollo al aglio
or
Rosada al limon
3. Ice Cream or Flan
Drink of your choice
All inclusive, special price for Senior Citizens £8.
Due to restrictions on numbers who can attend, it will be strictly on a first come first serve basis.
